Me and my wife had been reading letters from all of you who have sent Owen "The Birdman" in support of what he was doing and in regards to his well being. We thank you all for caring about this man and your words will live on forever with him in his place of happiness. His legacy will carry on starting with my wife and I and we will try to do as much as we can. Keep an eye out on YouTube for a video in support of "The Birdman" explaining our cause in response with his legacy. Thank all of you once again who has supported him in his time of need. Keep him in your hearts and mind and may your life be as fulfilling as his.

A lot of you probably have heard of Owen Freeman aka. "The Birdman of Cedar Key" and if you haven't heard of him do some research and you will find that he was a great man who took time to rescue the birds of Cedar Key. He has saved thousands of Pelicans and other coast line birds. I am sadden to say that as of October 23rd, 2009 Owen Freeman "The Birdman" has passed on to a greater place, he will be missed by many and loved by all. If you have read this far that means that you probably knew this man and if you have any respect for this man as I do then you will help in trying to get the State Bird of Florida to be changed to the brown Pelican in honor of this great man. I really do not know how to go about this so if any one out there has any knowledge in this situation please let me know. If you would like to know more about this man visit this site. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.birds/msg/45cd0fa6da2c725a?pli=1
